Evaluating Fitbit Visualization

This was a course project done in a group of four. I was in charge of creating the questionnaire, running the study and managing the group. We recruited 11 participants to compare the visualizations proposed with previously available visualizations and evaluate the new ideas.
In this project, we analyzed visualizations provided by Fitbit for tracking the daily activity. We created two ideas for daily activity visualization and introduced design implications for future designs to include pattern recognition, by using machine learning and also categorizing days based on the index of the day. The new design could help the person to understand their pattern of activity easier and can help them plan their physical activities better.
